King's Lynn Town boss James Rowe was pleased with how his side limited Hereford to just seven shots, calling his side's performance impressive.
Hereford fell to their second 2-0 defeat of the season and lie bottom of the Enterprise National League North - one of only three clubs not to have picked up any points and the only one not to have scored a goal.
Paul Caddis's side rarely tested the keeper, with a shot each from lone striker Remaye Campbell and midfielder Lawson D'Ath the only excitement for more than 2,750 Hereford fans at Edgar Street on the hot summer's day.
Speaking after the match, Linnets boss Rowe said it felt really good in the changing room, with a great togetherness.
He said his side played in a completely different way at Edgar Street on Saturday than what they had done in a draw with AFC Telford United on the opening day.
"It was about the space and we certainly dominated the space and were deserved winners," he said.
On his side's defensive performance, Rowe said he was very pleased.
"We limited them to very little. To limit them to seven shots at home in their first home game, we've got to be pleased with that. To double their shots, to double their final third entries, that's impressive.
"Without getting carried away, it was a good performance. It's a marker in the sand."
Ross Crane scored both of his side's goals in the first half, and the gaffer said the 23-year-old forward showed his ability, being dangerous from distance, running his heart out.
"His running stats were through the roof, high intensity was through the roof, and that allowed him the space in the pockets and we knew that would open up on transition," he said.
"If we invited them [Hereford] on, we could hit them on the break, which we did well. But also, I think to take the game plan into practice where he scored, he's come in between the centre half and the fullback and scored a header in the early stages of the game is exactly what we worked on in training, exactly what we talked about on the video and he's produced.
"So, that's a markings of a good player."
