Sammy Robinson has signed for Buxton after turning down a deal to stay at Edgar Street.
The National League North club, which made the switch to full-time last summer and went on to make the play-offs, announced the signing of the 23-year-old versatile defender on Saturday afternoon.
Robinson had been a stand-out performer for Hereford last season, having come through the ranks at Leeds United and Manchester City.
Having then played for Port Vale and Kidderminster Harriers, he arrived at Edgar Street last summer, went on to make 36 appearances and be awarded Supporters’ Player of the Season.
On leaving Edgar Street after he was offered a deal, Robinson said it wasn't an easy decision but was needed due to "location and family commitments", doing what's best for his "beautiful young family".
He added: "I want to thank my team mates for welcoming me into the group with open arms and creating lifelong friendships.
"And a massive thank you to you fans for your amazing support for me and building a true bond I shall never forget."
