Solihull Moors Looking For 'High Quality Replacement' For Whing

National League Solihull Moors are looking for a 'high-quality replacement' for manager Andy Whing.

The former Hereford coach has left Moors to become manager of League Two Barrow for a undisclosed fee. He's signed a two and a half year deal.

And who would fit as a 'high-quality replacement' for Whing?

Well the 'deck' are suggesting that current Hereford manager Paul Caddis might be a possibility.

Here's what they've written about Caddis.

'Our first suggestion is former Birmingham City defender Paul Caddis who is currently the manager of National League North side Hereford and are competing for a place in the play-off places. The club have lost just seven of their first 24 league matches this season, establishing an average of 1.54 points per game.

The 36-year-old signed a new contract in April 2024, running until June 2026 which means a compensation fee would need to be paid to land the Scotsman.

Caddis’ preferred system is a 4-5-1, which is a slight adaptation of Solihull’s favoured 4-2-3-1 which implies that from a tactical perspective, the Scotsman would have a greater chance of hitting the ground running.

Also, despite the club playing in Hereford, their training ground is located at Warwick University which is much closer to Solihull and would make for a smoother transition and suggests Caddis would already know a bit about the club.'

Their other suggestions are Darren Carter, Matt Grey and Richard Stearman.
