The postponement of this afternoon's game between Hereford and Warrington was inevitable said Hereford general manager Jamie Griffiths.
"We came in this morning and the frost had really got under the covers. It's rock hard," Griffiths told BBC Hereford and Worcester yesterday.
"And with the temperatures not really rising much above freezing we just felt it was fair for everyone (to call it off)
"We've got supporters who travel from Yorkshire and down on the South Coast, so we thought it fair for everyone including the Warrington fans to call it early as we would be just delaying the inevitable."
