I'm Relieved To Be Honest Said Caddis

Yusifu Ceesay

Following Hereford's 1-0 win at Peterborough Sports last night, manager Paul Caddis spoke to the local media.

"I'm relieved to be honest," said Caddis.

"It's been a tricky couple of weeks, not for the lack of effort or anything like that, so really pleased.

"It was a professional performance.

"We turned up a little bit late because we got stuck in traffic.

"You are always mindfull as a manager how you are going to start, I thought we started brilliant, so we might deliberately be late every week.

"The players were a credit to themselves, they dug deep, all the credit is to the players in the dressing room."

After a poor run the main task was to get a win.

"Was the performance great? Absolutely not. But it was full of endeavour, full of character.

"I said to the players before the game go back to the way you were when you were five, six, seven years old, the basics of football, passing, talking to each other, tackling, running.

"When you are going through a bit of a bad spell you have to re-set, you don't go back to right I'm going to try and beat three players, you go back to the basics."

Caddis spoke about Sports.

"They are a big physical team, they've come off the back of a brilliant result at the weekend when they beat Kings Lynn, they've been on good form.

"So we knew it was going to be tough place, coming here on a Tuesday night.

"If there's one negative we should have scored a couple more on the counter but there again I thought the team as a whole was excellent.

"And a clean sheet, we've been crying out for clean sheets.

"We move onto the weekend."

Ceesay scored the only goal on 34 minutes.

"Ceesay that's three in three, he's a real threat for us.

"At times we rely too much on him and that's me being honest but that's a credit to him because of what he can offer us.

"I thought Jayden on the other side offered us a lot as well.

"We've got good attacking players, we've just been a bit out of form."
