As reported earlier on BN, HUST members voted to ask Hereford FC shareholders to change the name of the club back to Hereford United at their AGM this evening.
The vote numbers were made up from those present at the meeting and those who had voted beforehand.
Those present voted 14 in favour, 10 against.
Those who voted before hand were 157 in favour, 31 against.
In total 171 in favour, 41 against giving an 80% vote in favour. There were 18 abstentions.
Interestingly it looks like at least 150 supporters have joined HUST recently to vote on the motion.
At the end of May 2024 HUST had 350 members. As of last Monday evening, the latest time anyone could join ahead of tonight's meeting, there were 503 members.
The turnout of HUST members was about 45%.
