London Bulls at Edgar Street yesterday

The London Bulls were at yesterday’s game against Marine.

Helped by the fantastic 4-0 win and Herefords performance, the London Bulls had a great day out.

Starting in hospitality at 12:30, watching a rousing video of our past glories and what could potentially be to come. Then the food! Beautiful Herefordshire Roast Beef, yorkshire pudding, roasters, plenty of veg, the dauphinoise potatoes and not forgetting the gravy. Fantastic food and just what was required whilst a few beverages were being drunk. This followed up by sticky toffee pudding and ice cream, which was incredibly tasty!

We then had a chat from the suspended/injured Sammy Robinson, who seems to have had quite the career already with Leeds and Man City ranking among highlights.

The London Bulls even managed to have a photo with the player that they sponsor this season, Matt Preston. Matt was starting so had to disappear quickly, not wanting to incur the wrath of his manager. That said Matt answered questions and spoke for as long as he could. Matt is a really nice person, thanks Matt.

Following this we had a talk and questions from quite simply a legend of our football club, Sir Graham of Turner. Incredibly insightful, talking of his early playing and managerial days before then eventually talking about how he came to Hereford United and bought the club.

He remarked on two of our trips to Leicester, the first at Filbert Street in the FA Cup where we narrowly lost but the fans were something that blew him away. The second of course at the (then) Walkers Stadium for the Conference Playoff Final and how big a deal it was for us as a club. Ranking as one of his biggest achievements in football.

Then game time. We'd barely sat down following the minutes silence in memory of our fallen soldiers and Hereford had scored! A wonderful goal by Ryan Bartley and Hereford were away.

A fantastic round of applause and tribute to the late HUFC goalkeeper, Fred Potter, was observed on 40 minutes. 4-0 of course in the end, a clean sheet for Fred, which sent everyone home very happy. Although one of their number, Karan Rai, was hoping for 6-0 so was a little disappointed.

The London Bulls want to thank the club and in particular, Martin Brain, for organising not just the day but also for some items to be raffled at the London Bulls Christmas Party in December. Also to Nikki and Dave who are such fantastic hosts and ensure smooth running of the day and to Dan Pace for organising for Matt Preston to come up to see the London Bulls.

We really do have a fantastic club, don’t we?
