We Played Well Today And Lost Said Caddis

Hereford manager Paul Caddis reflected on his side's 1-0 defeat at Curzon Ashton.

"I would rather play rubbish and win," he said in his post match interview.

"We played well today and lost.

"We played well, we created chances.

"They had a chance and Pond makes a brilliant save and the one at the end (their goal) and that is it.

"The amount of box entries we had was ridiculous, we had Phillips with chances, Willo has had a few, Babos had a few with a couple that flashed across the goal and a couple that bounced at the edge of the box.

"It was a dominant display but you get nothing if you don't put the ball in the net.

"We controlled the game really well, we knew what to expect, we had prepared for what they were going to give us.

"It's down to us, we should have been out of sight at times. We had good opportunities to do better.

"I thought in the final third we were poor in terms of that final pass and putting the ball in the back of the net.

"The difference in football is that final third, that's why the best paid players in the world are at the top end of the pitch. They make the difference.

"We always create opportunities. Very rarely have I come away from a game thinking I hold my hands up we've been well beaten.

"We've got legs in the team, we've got experience, we've got quality, it's just trying to find that extra bit in the box and getting the goals.

"I'm hoping in the next ten games that we're due a four/five/six nil win.

"But if you don't put the ball in the net you are always under pressure."
