Southport manager Jim Bentley has given his version of events that led to Danny Lloyd being red carded in the game against Hereford yesterday.
"Another key moment was the sending off of Danny," said Bentley.
"Danny I've known him a lot of years, he's a good individual, he's honest.
"He's told me the big centre-half (Kyle Howkins) has tried to block him off, there's a bit of a coming together, he's pushed him and Danny's pushed him across the chest. There's been a bit of a slap noise made.
"But again look where the ball is, look where the referee's angle is where he is looking at the ball.
"Is it a guess, has he seen the incident?
"They're the type of thing that goes against you.
"The big centre-half has gone down and he's got him sent off.
"If Danny is telling me he hasn't slapped him in the face then I've got to take his word for it. It will be interesting to see."
