Westfields are hopeful they can keep striker Jamie Molyneux despite approaches from firstly Hereford and then Solihull Moors.
"The timing of the approach is very
disappointing as we are involved in FA vase and FA cup games in the next
week while also we are top of the Midland League, " Westfields Chief Executive Andy Morris told BN.
"Jamie is a quality player who we wish to keep at Westfields and our manager Sean Edwards has made that clear to the player.
"However when a player is registered non contract as Jamie is then, it is in order for other clubs to approach him under the 7 day rule. However it does not mean he will leave Westfields although l am aware he will speak to both Hereford and Solihull Moors.
"He is enjoying his football with us and is part of a very good team."
