Sutton Coldfield In The Cup Tomorrow

Hereford FC will travel to Sutton Coldfield tomorrow for a ' FA Cup Second Round Qualifying Tie'. The winners will receive £4,500.

Two weeks ago they travelled to the same ground when they drew with Romulus. However it was a different story when the replay took place the following Tuesday. The Bulls won 3-0.

Sutton Coldfield play in the Evo-Stick Northern Premier League and so are at a higher level than Hereford.

But to date this season they have only amassed three points from seven games. and are 22nd in the table. Last Saturday they lost 5-0 at Blyth Spartans. Their goal difference is minus eleven.

To get to the second qualifying round in the FA Cup they defeated Eynesbury Rovers 3-1.

Sutton Coldfield manager Neil Tooth has been talking about the game.

"I'm in no doubt it will be a tough game" said Tooth as reported by the ' Sutton OS.

"Hereford are on a massive high at the minute. and they have continued where they left off last season by winning football matches on a regular basis so their confidence will be sky high. We on the other hand are in a bit of a lull at the minute but the attitude the lads have shown this week in training has pleased me.

The FA Cup is always special but with Hereford having the large following they do tomorrows game will be even more special as I expect the atmosphere to be electric and I'm confident my players will step up and show what they are all about. Hereford are a very good side and we will give them the respect they deserve but our preparation this week has been all about what we do because if we get that right then we know we are a very good side capable of beating anyone."

Tooth wil be without several players but Luke Rogers, who started his career at Shrewsbury, is said to be available.
