News Round-Up


The match fixing trial of three players accused of fixing Conf South games has heard two of them received only £367 each as part of the claimed deal. Michael Boateng and Hakeen Adelakun are claimed to have received the sum by the prosecution, with Moses Swaibu claimed to have received £2,446. The alleged fixers are accused of handling nearly £50,000 to bribe players. The trial continues.

Aldershot say they are budgeting for a break even gate of 2,000 next season after averaging 1,954 this season. They will keep ticket prices at £17 for Adult admission on the terraces, and £19 for seating. Cambridge captain Ian Miller faces missing nine months after being diagnosed with a ruptured achilles following being carried off late into Sunday's Play-Off Final. 

Bristol Rovers have handed teenage striker Donovan Wilson his first pro contract. The 17 year old has been with the club since the age of 7. Telford have signed goalkeeper Jonathan Hedge on a one year deal. The 25 year old was released by Grimsby earlier in the summer, having joined them from Cambridge.

Welling have signed defender Ben Jefford for the coming season. The 19 year old was released by Port Vale at the end of the season after loan spells in Conf South.
